Posters are chosen from the submitted abstracts and displayed in the Congress Hall Foyer, 2nd floor, grouped by topic. Posters will carry equivalent scientific status to free communications in the programme. Abstracts of selected posters can be found in the Book of Abstracts. The poster area is on level 2 - Congress Hall Foyer.

Posters will be on display for the full time of the Congress and can be mounted on Wednesday 30 April, between 12:00 and 19:00. Contact the Poster Manager for assistance. Best Poster Session Authors should be at their poster during coffee breaks.

A selection of the best posters will be presented in the Best Poster Session on Friday afternoon 2 May from 14:30 to 15:30. Poster presentators should check on Friday (latest at 12:00) if their poster has been selected by looking for a balloon on your posterboard. Those selected will have to prepare a presentation for the Best Poster Session on Friday Afternoon from 14:30 to 15:30. The talk should be limited to 5 minutes, documented with a maximum of 5 PowerpointPoint slides. Poster presentors are asked to submit their presentation to the preview room as soon as possible.

The Best Poster Prize (sponsored by Organon, a part of Schering-Plough Corporation) will be awarded during the Closing Ceremony on Saturday.

The ESC Best Public Poster is supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Bayer Schering Pharma In your personal envelope (a.o. containing your badge), you will find two voting ballots. Please indicate on each ballot a poster number you would like to nominate. Since you have two ballots, you can nominate two different posters. Please drop both ballots in the poster voting bin in the registration area. The ESC Best Public Poster Prize will be awarded during the Closing Ceremony on Saturday. Participants are encouraged to return their completed ballots: one ballot will be drawn randomly and this participant will take a crystal vase from Moser Company home.
